We’re looking for a Carpenter Helper to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning from experienced tradespeople, and contributing to projects that shape our local communities.
What You’ll Do
As a Carpenter Helper at Dycor Builders, you’ll support our skilled carpenters and site crews in various on-site construction activities. You’ll help ensure our job sites run efficiently, safely, and with the high standards Dycor is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with formwork, framing, and general carpentry tasks under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite at all times.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials and tools as needed.
- Set up and remove site protection materials (ram board, drop sheets, plastic coverings, etc.).
- Help read and interpret basic construction drawings and site plans.
- Support site supervisors and trades in coordinating daily activities.
- Follow all company safety protocols and promote a “safety-first” culture.
- Perform other general labor and site preparation duties as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in construction or carpentry is an asset (but not required).
- Strong communication skills and a positive team attitude.
- Ability to work independently and take direction effectively.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy materials.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and craftsmanship.
